Yah, watching SGA 'The Tower' right now and watched 'Inferno' for the third time with my brother yesterday, and this allowed me to notice that part of the set from 'Tower' is apparently re-used in 'Inferno' cuz OMG, I just had such a deja vu moment when Rodney is walking around down in the Ancients' complex under the palace trying to turn things on, and I did an honest-to-God double take where I swear it looked just like he was walking around on the Ancients' ship when he was trying to get IT up and running.

And, damn, that's just one long run-on sentence, isn't it?

Oh, God. Dirty thought. Rodney turns it on.

THE COMPLEX, I MEAN THE COMPLEX, OMG, MY BRAIN MUST DIE.

And, crap, can ANYONE ELSE see the DUNE parallels? Or am I tripping? Seriously, the vapid twit of a useless princess, the old, impotent ruler taken out by poison, the young, even more useless cruel fop of a prince destined to be torn apart by a bloodthirsty mob, the Fade clone in the form of tall, bald, and tights-for-fun with the poisoning and the knife? It's Dune Atlantis-style. The only things missing were the giant worms - which I'd like to assign to the Ancients, but I can't quite see it. They do make the world, er, galaxy, go 'round, though.
